By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide and improve the Service. This may include:

• Minecraft Account Data — Your Minecraft username and UUID, obtained through Microsoft authentication, used solely to verify account ownership and enable the client to function correctly.
• Authentication Tokens — Temporary Microsoft/Mojang authentication tokens stored locally on your device to maintain your login session. These are never transmitted to our servers.
• Usage and Diagnostic Data — Anonymous crash reports and performance diagnostics that help us identify and fix bugs. This data does not include personally identifiable information.
• Client Configuration — Your in-client settings and preferences, stored locally on your device. We do not upload or sync this data to our servers unless a feature explicitly requires it.

3. How We Use Your Information

Any information we collect is used strictly for the following purposes:

• To authenticate your Minecraft account and enable the client to launch the game
• To identify, diagnose, and fix bugs or performance issues within the software
• To improve the features, stability, and security of Astra Client
• To communicate important updates, security notices, or changes to our policies
• To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse of the platform

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

4. Microsoft Authentication

Astra Client uses Microsoft's authentication services to verify Minecraft account ownership. When you log in, you are redirected to Microsoft's official login portal. We do not have access to your Microsoft account password at any point in this process.

Authentication tokens returned by Microsoft are stored locally on your machine and are used only to maintain your session within the launcher. These tokens are subject to Microsoft's own privacy practices. We encourage you to review Microsoft's Privacy Statement for more information.

5. Data Storage and Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. Key practices include:

• Authentication tokens and session data are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers except as necessary for authentication
• Any data transmitted to our servers uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
• We regularly review our data handling practices and update security measures as needed
• Access to any collected data is restricted to members of DMVDM Studios with a legitimate need

Despite these measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

6. Third-Party Services

Astra Client may interact with or link to the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Microsoft / Mojang — For account authentication and Minecraft session management
• Discord — For community support and communication (optional; only if you join our server)
• Patreon — For processing supporter donations (optional; governed entirely by Patreon's policies)

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies before engaging with them.

7. Children's Privacy

Astra Client is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately at [email protected] and we will take steps to remove that information promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data. Since most data collected by Astra Client is stored locally on your own device, you can typically manage it directly through the application settings or by uninstalling the software.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and notify users through our website or Discord server.
